Take a peek below for a step-by-step.
Prep Time: 5 Minutes
- 2 tbs instant coffee of choice
- 2 tbs granulated sugar
- 2 tbs boiling water
- 1 cup of milk
Step 1. Grab a bowl and add the instant coffee, sugar, and boiling water. An electric hand mixer works well to whip this mixture. You can also use a whisk and mix by hand; however, it will take much longer.
Step 2. Continue mixing the ingredients for about two minutes until you get a thick, foamy texture. As you’re mixing, make sure to scrape the sides of the bowl so that no yummy bits get left behind.
Step 3. This is the most critical step, taste the Dalgona mixture and make sure the sweetness is what you like. Make sure to keep in mind that the mixture will be combined with milk so it will taste strong. You can always add more sugar if you like. Start by adding in an extra ½ tbs. Add more as needed.
Step 4. Grab a glass (or mason jar) and pour in your milk of choice. You can use anything from regular milk to non-dairy alternatives. Add ice cubes to your milk.
Step 5. Add a dollop of the whipped coffee mixture on top. Grab your favorite reusable straw and mix, mix, mix!
Step 6. Enjoy your delightful coffee drink!
Tip: This drink works as both a hot and cold drink. If you’re creating a hot drink, remove your ice cubes and heat your milk before adding the whipped Dalgona mixture on top!
